The See Me: Recognizing the Signs of Human Trafficking was another work sample produced for Shared Hope International, a non-profit focused on fighting global human trafficking and sex trafficking. The challenge was to create an engaging e-learning course based on their Warning Signs of Sex Trafficking handout. As I favor scenario-based learning, I decided to work with an active learning scenario wherein the learner would be presented as a law enforcement officer (LEO) that would have to identify potential victims of trafficking through the course of their day, either pro-actively with the child/adult on their own, or reactively by recognizing their trafficker.
The fixed-width course shell that was produced contained an illustrative example of how the learner would identify signs and characteristics of trafficking, and then an illustration of how the approach would be setup to avoid random clicking around the scenario screen.
A second work example was produced to a storyboard with a responsive design developed in Adobe Captivate, but this course example would open up some of their proprietary content that they monetize to support their mission. I think that we can all agree that not sharing this is a good thing.
